We had a great weekend at the Debenhams Celebration event at Liverpool 1. We met some lovely people, both couples and other exhibitors, and would like to thank the staff for making us very welcome.Hopefully we'll be hearing from some of the couples, and make their wedding day special with their memories captured for generations to come.
We're back in Liverpool this coming weekend, 26th and 27th Feb, at the Metquarter which is hosting its very first Wedding fair. We hope you'll come and visit our stand and see our albums and wall art "in the flesh"in all its sparkling glory. We'd love to see you there and have a chat. And if you cant make that were at Aintree Racecourse with UK Wedding Shows, the following Sunday between 12.30 till 4pm.

A touch of nostalgia!!
Sometimes its the style of the gown that will inspire a wedding shoot,or the intricate detail of the architecture at the venue, but when we gathered together some of Southports finest businesses within the wedding industry, we were on a no lose situation. Even St Swithin gave us a break from the eternal deluge of rain and showers, and the sun shone and winds faded to perfect weather conditions.
The theme of the shoot simply had to be nostalgia, an eclectic mix of times gone by, and we would like to give a huge thank you to the following for their total professionalism and dedication.
In no particular order..
Scarisbrick Hall, with its imposing Neo Gothic architecture and beautiful grounds, enough to make any bride feel like a princess for the day. A big thank you to Rebecca for her organizational skill and looking after us on the day of the shoot.
The exquisite ivory lace gown, showing off our model Laura's beautiful figure and was provided by The Bridal Boutique.
Laura's hair was a dramatic creation in keeping with the shoot and styled by Kelly at The Salon, and the perfect flawless makeup was thanks to Lisa at Beauty Beyond Belief, both hair and makeup stayed put for the shoot and for many hours later.
We had to have a car in keeping with the theme, which was the most elegant vintage open top Beauford, perfect for a sunny day, and thanks to Paul from A & P Wedding Cars.
Finally every bride must have a bouquet, and David from Artistic Licence, composed the most stunning array of delicate country garden classics.
Of course we cannot forget Laura our beautiful bride for the day, and with no model training, who totally did us proud, and is our very own Audrey Hepburn!
So the shoot was a huge success, now look out for the results in our Art Couture, and Album pages, as and when Laura works her magic on the individual pieces.....!

Friday night girlie event at Ronnies!!
On Friday night we went to a charity ladies evening at Ronnies in Southport for a chance to spend some relaxing time, do a bit of networking, and enjoy a couple of chilled wines,(honestly only a couple!). It was a fun evening and we met some very interesting and lovely people. There were two very helpful ladies from Weddings UK, offering personal advice on exhibiting at their shows to showcase our work. We already have a show prepared at Chester Racecourse in October, and will post the details for that, and our promotional offer nearer the time.
We were also introduced to Alex, a lovely lady who exudes enthusiasm for her business and owns a vintage designer agency in Southport, she also specializes in vintage wedding dresses and we hope we can do some work together to promote both our businesses in the future. We're really looking forward to seeing her collection which should inspire some more creative and artistic interpretations of times gone by...watch this space.. And who knows we may be able to persuade David Beckham to put his stamp on any proposed designs. Yeah, he was there at the girly night too! Okay, not the famous golden balls, but the very enigmatic, talented and extremely interesting David Beckham-Doyle who does exquisite floral decoration and event design under the name of Artistic Licence. He has a colourful array of floral art only to be equaled by his tales of past experiences which made us forget we were supposed to be networking, but enjoyed the chat including an impromptu, lesson in Argentine Tango and his experience with Hagen Daaz! (You really wouldn't believe it!)
There were a couple of jewellery stands, to cover all tastes, and we particularly loved the unique hand made pieces from Sacha's Jewellery. They were unique in design and very affordable, making beautiful gifts for friends and family. We're hoping to commission Sacha to produce two C I broaches for our exhibition wear-I'm sure we'll come up with something totally glitzy in keeping with our mantra (you can never have enough sparkle, you can never have enough sparkle ....)
We were also delighted to see Karen's Minx nails at the event, I'd never heard of this before, but am now thoroughly converse with the new way forward in jazzy nail decor, and yes, we both went along to their salon, the Nail and Beauty Lounge in Birkdale, the following morning and had a fab design done on our toes, love it!
There were lots more stands to see and offers to be had, all girly of course, along with the stylish work of Yaffe Fusion Art, who always try to support the local charity events and showcase their beautiful work with pazazz.
Finally we must say a big thank you to Sandra at Yaffe's Fusion Art for introducing us to so many wonderful people and supporting us in our venture.
